The Inchworm

InchwormThis intermediate core exercise works every muscle in the body.

After you are warmed up:

  • perform a forward bend with hands touching the floor (it’s OK to have bent knees).
  • Slowly walk out the hands forward and raise your head (this position resembles Superman flying).
  • Hold for three count.
  • Slowly walk your feet forward until you reach the forward bend position, being sure to scoop your navel towards the spine throughout the move.
  • Hold the forward bend for a three count and then repeat the sequence in reverse walking the feet then the hands backwards.

Perform as many reps as you feel comfortable, literally “inching” forward and backward like an inchworm!
